Victory :
Points or trophies obtained by a club when the team obtains a sufficient difference in goals in favour. Moral victories also exist, but only in the minds of some.
Violent :
Bad-tempered, aggressive players whose actions can cause injury to opposing players (regarding violent fans, see hooligan).
Virtuoso :
Player of great technical skill.
Visitor :
Team playing away. Away victories increase the prestige of the team, a draw satisfies fans and a defeat can be justified.
Volley :
A term from tennis meaning to strike the ball while it is still in the air, but low, with power and precision. The volley is one of the most effective and dangerous of shots.
